Create A Balance Between Clean And Lived-In

In our previous blog, we talked about how it’s important that you clean your home from top to bottom and remove any clutter. While this step is extremely important if you are looking to attract a lot of buyers, it’s also necessary to include some elements that make your home look lived-in. That being said, you shouldn’t go and add clutter to areas you just cleaned up. Think about adding a basket of produce to the kitchen counter, or toss a folded blanket over the back of the couch. The entire purpose of staging your home is to allow potential buyers to picture themselves living in it.

Rearrange The Furniture

Depending on how long you’ve lived in your home, chances are, you’ve probably rearranged the furniture once or twice. When you’re staging your home, you want to rearrange your furniture so that it is both open and symmetrical. We suggest pulling your furniture off of the walls to create a more inviting conversation area.

At Grasons Co. Estate Sale Services, we understand that not everyone is a gifted interior decorator. While some individuals have the skills to rearrange the furniture in an appealing way, for other homes, this step might be better left to the professionals. At Grasons, we are more than happy to help you with whatever step of the home staging process that you need our guidance in. Whether it’s rearranging the furniture or creating a balance, contact us to enlist our help today!

Define The Purpose Of Each Room

Certain rooms in your home, like the kitchen, living room, and bedroom, already have a defined purpose. However, if you have a room that you’ve been using as a catch-all for various items, you may need to come up with a better use for it. The same rule applies to other empty rooms in your home. The goal is to give each room purpose so that potential buyers can imagine how they would use that room if they were to move in. For example, you can turn an empty room into a spare bedroom or an office space!

If you’re not sure where to start on your home-staging process, the experts at Grasons Co. Estate Sale Services are more than happy to help! In addition to our house-staging expertise, we can also help you with downsizing, estate liquidation, moving sales, and more! To learn more about all of the services we offer, contact Grasons today!
