Estate Sale Hacks
1. Pick the Right Day to Attend
- First Day: Items are priced as marked, no negotiations. All the most desirable items will go the first day.
- Mid-Sale: There might be slight percentage off on all items or prices are negotiable
- Last Day: Items are marked down and deals can be made.
2. Go Early
- Establish your place in line.
- The most sought after items will go early on the first day.
3. Follow the “rules” of the sale: Are kids allowed? How do you buy large items? Can you create a “hold” pile? etc Understand the timing of the markdown process.
4. Be respectful- follow the rules, don’t run, obey signage and be courteous.
5. Look EVERYWHERE- drawers are fair game.
6. Bring a carrier bag or large tote to hold your finds as you make your way through the house.
