This year, one especially touching story comes from our Gilbert, AZ franchise owners Angelica Olea and Derrik Roberts, who helped a local family part with a hand-painted vintage North Pole mailbox that had been part of their holiday traditions for years. Filled with childhood letters to Santa and memories of Christmas mornings, this treasured piece is now ready to bring that same magic to another family.

Grasons of Nashville, TN – Lynn Dorton

This Treasure’s of Giving story comes from Grasons of Nashville Owner, Lynn Dorton and her son Carter — and it’s a perfect reminder of the joy and meaning behind the items we help rehome every day.

At her current estate sale — the home of two Army Colonels who spent a lifetime traveling and collecting unique pieces — a vintage leather hippo footstool caught the eye of a shopper in Ohio. The item was rare, valuable, and carried emotional significance: her family once owned the same footstool, a cherished gift that had been accidentally destroyed by their puppy years ago.

After weeks of searching nationwide, she finally found the exact replacement in Lynn’s sale. Her family pooled together to purchase it, and she drove all the way from Ohio to Franklin, TN to bring it home.

When she picked it up, she sent this heartfelt message:

“Thank you for such an amazing sale today. You made our Christmas, and our family chat is now exploding over the leather hippo!”

Grasons Select Central Coast, CA – Tony Aguilar

During a recent sale hosted by Tony Aguilar of Grasons Select Central Coast, CA, a shopper purchased a vintage Lincoln Logs set — the classic all-wood version from decades past. Tony asked if it was a gift for a child, but the buyer shared a different plan: it was a birthday present for his brother.

As kids, he once used his brother’s Lincoln Logs… to start a campfire.
His brother never let him forget it.

Now, all these years later, he’s giving the same vintage set back as a lighthearted way to make amends.

“She told us her grandmother in Germany had been searching for that exact piece for years,” Marc shared. “She was thrilled to finally send it to her overseas.”

Anna Williams of Grasons of Riverside, CA recently met a shopper who held tightly to a vintage TRON laserdisc — so tightly that he wouldn’t let it out of his hands when she offered to place it on the hold table.

With emotion in his voice, he shared that he’d been searching for this specific laserdisc for years. It was the movie he and his father watched together countless times during his childhood, and finding it again was like reclaiming a treasured piece of their story.

Grasons Elite of North & South Orange County, CA – Vincent Stirone

At a recent sale hosted by Vincent Stirone of Grasons Elite of North & South Orange County, the team was honored to handle the estate of a client who was an enthusiastic Hawaiiana collector and ukulele enthusiast. Her home was filled with instruments of every color and style — each one well-loved and often played.

Following her passing, the family kept her most unique antique pieces, while the remaining ukuleles were offered to new owners. Many shoppers expressed excitement at continuing her legacy, bringing new life and new music to the instruments she treasured.

Grasons of Southeast Aurora, Parker & Castle Rock, CO – Jeff Jachowicz

We are spotlighting a meaningful moment from Jeff Jachowicz, owner of Grasons of Southeast Aurora, Parker & Castle Rock.

During an estate sale with household items and equipment, a 13-year-old shopper asked about a small trailer. He shared that he was starting a lawn-mowing business and needed a way to haul his gear. After thoughtful questions—and impressive negotiation—he and his father purchased it.

Weeks later, Jeff received photos of the trailer fully restored, along with a message that the young man’s business was already expanding. Jeff shared the photos with the estate-sale family, who were touched to see the trailer find a new purpose with a hardworking teenager.
